Backend Network Programmer

Ready At Dawn is looking for talented and passionate Network Programmers to join us in creating high profile original titles for both the VR and AAA console spaces.

The Network Programmer will help build and maintain in-game backend networking features for the online / multiplayer components of existing and future Ready At Dawn games.


  • Contribute to the creation, research and maintenance of the RAD Engine backend network systems architecture
  • Develop and maintain tools for testing and analysis of the multiplayer environment
  • Work with designers and other programmers to ensure a cohesive and engaging multiplayer experience

Position Requirements:

  • Strong math skills
  • Knowledge of C/C++
  • Strong balance of technical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of production development tools including compilers, build tools, IDEs (Visual Studio), source code and asset control systems (Perforce) and integration with 3d editing packages (Maya)
  • Experience from working with networking technology and approaches, e.g. client-server, peer-to-peer
  • Knowledge of low-level network APIs, e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, sockets
  • Experience of the platform specific services and APIs available for online presence, e.g. PSN, Xbox Live, lobbies
  • Experience with matchmaking
  • Experience with security and anti-hacking approaches and techniques
