Lighting Artist

We are looking for an experienced Lighting Artist to join us in creating high profile original titles for both the VR and AAA console spaces. In this role you be responsible for lighting visually stunning sets and characters for both in-game and cinematic content by working closely with the Art Leads, Designers, Concept, and Environment Artists. Effectively lead the player through real-time environments and gameplay scenarios. Research and adapt to new techniques as emerging and proposing lighting related improvements to general art pipeline and proprietary tools and engine technology. Work both independently and in cooperation with Designers and Environment Artist to complete assignments. Work with production to set lighting scheduling, prioritization of lighting tools and feature requests to engineers and provide feedback, mentorship and general support to the rest of the lighting artists on the team.


Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Animation & Visual Effects, or Filming making, or related, plus three (3) years of experience in job offered, or as a Visual Effects Artist, or in a related occupation. Require knowledge in the following areas:

1] color theory and practical lighting concepts

2] HDR pipeline and balancing of post process effects and screen effects

3] lighting 3D environments

4] knowledge of Maya and Photoshop

5] knowledge of color keys
